"I came that all might have life and have it to the full." John 10:10
God of Compassion,
Hear the cries of the people of Syria,
Bring healing to those suffering from the violence,
Bring comfort to those mourning the dead,
Strengthen Syria’s neighbors in their care and welcome for refugees,
Convert the hearts of those who have taken up arms,
And protect those committed to peace.
God of Hope,
Inspire leaders to choose peace over violence and to seek reconciliation with enemies,
Inspire the Church around the world with compassion for the people of Syria,
And give us hope for a future of peace built on justice for all.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace and Light of the World,

Thank you to all those who had a hand in making this year's VBS a huge success! We spent the week with over 150 children and had 75+ adult and teen volunteers. We appreciate your patience with the changes in the parking lot to ensure safety and the use of the church to share faith with our youngest Christian neighbors!
Megan Ambrosino a young adult member of our Parish has taken a position as the sole art teacher at Notre Dame Academy in Ilorin, Nigeria beginning in March 2013. Megan is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and was active in our Parish Youth Ministries Program and various Diocesan YM and Young Adult Events.
We are so very proud of Megan. If you would like to keep up with Megan during her time in Africa, please visit her blog Growth of Heart.
Deacon Michael Melanson shares his thoughts and scriptural reflection in his original work entitled, "Hidden in Plain Sight: The Jewels of Scripture Revealed". (click to download)
From the introduction Deacon Mike shares, "It seems that whenever I began to read any text of scripture, I would come across what I have come to call them as “hidden jewels”. These are the beautiful little gems that just pop out and reveal a whole new aspect of our loving God, in the plain sight words of Holy Scripture. I so much wanted to share what God had revealed to me to the world. So I have gathered just a few of my favorites in the following pages for your reading and studying enjoyment. It seems that every time I go back and reread a part of scripture, I find something different that brings a “WOW” expression to my lips. For this reason, I believe that the scriptures are alive and ever evolving to the reader. My intent is that maybe you can enjoy my delight in scripture reading as I have."
