Church of the Immaculate Conception
The Roman Catholic Community of Glenville, New York
We are pleased to announce that beginning Monday, May 24, 2021 we will no longer require advanced sign ups for either weekend or daily masses.
In accordance with CDC, NYS and Diocesan guidelines, we request that people who are not vaccinated please continue to wear a mask.
Those who are fully vaccinated may choose not to wear a mask.
We will open every other pew and each household will seat themselves.
We will continue to distribute communion by the minister coming to you.
The offertory basket will still be at the door when you enter, we will not pass the basket at this time.
God Bless you for your patience throughout the past year. May we continue to be good neighbors to each other and move ahead with these eased restrictions by being conscientious of others' well being.
Updates from the
Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany
On May 14, 2021 Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger issued a letter "A Return to Mass", "removing the general dispensation from the obligation to go to Mass on Sundays and Holy Days."
We encourage you to read the full letter from the Bishop by clicking here
As our Bishop clearly shares, it is important for each of us to discern whether now is the appropriate time to return to in-person attendance at Mass. The Bishop's letter explains the difference between a general dispensation and a particular dispensation (which remains in effect). If you have questions, please feel free to contact the Parish Office.

The initial Diocesan Guidelines for Resuming Public Masses (issued May 2020) are available HERE. There have been several updates over the past year - all of which are available on the Diocesan website.

* In-Person Mass Participation - we welcome you with great joy to return to mass in-person.
